FIELD: thermal treatment in mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: long-size parts are subjected to individual muffling, heating and holding in flow of saturating gas counterflowing from part discharge to charging with regulated velocity and autonomous feed into muffle. Device has furnace 1, muffle in form of tubes with hinged gate 6 and branch pipes 7 of individual supply of saturating gas, mechanism for charging and transportation made in form of transfer conveyor consisting of two drive chains 10 connected over front of tubes sections by means of pushing bar 14 with comb-like pusher 15. Tubes are laid in hearth of furnace 1. Centering trays of charging and discharging are located over tube ends. Charging end of each tube has nozzle similar in shape of treated part. Tube ends are located in furnace working space. EFFECT: improved quality of heat treatment and simplified design for carburizing and carbonitriding. 2 cl, 3 dwg
