SUBSTANCE: heated parts are located 5-10 mm above the level of quenching medium in tank, compressed between press die and punch, subjected to interim cooling to temperature Ac1 and instant raising for 0.2-1.0 s, the level of quenching medium in tank by at least 10-15 mm above level of hardened part. The device for embodiment of the offered method pas press with punch, die and quenching tank which is installed on die and provided with guides located inside tank for laying and holding down of parts, upper level of guides is higher than the level of quenching medium surface by 5-10 mm; accumulating tank connected with quenching tank by overflow valve with driven hinged gate; level regulator in the form of branch pipe with flange and installed on upper part of overflow valve; cutoff spring-loaded valve engageable with flange of level regulator and stationary attached to punch which has guides for hold-down parts matched with guides of quenching tank.
