FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: stepping electric motor is designed for stepping electric drives. It has hollow rotor composed of alternating ferromagnetic teeth and nonmagnetic inserts and stator incorporating ferromagnetic sections with windings separated by nonmagnetic sections and poles facing rotor. Ferromagnetic teeth alternating with nonmagnetic inserts are located between poles of each ferromagnetic section of stator over circumference. Number of inserts exceeds number of ferromagnetic teeth by one. Angular extents of teeth of stator and nonmagnetic inserts of stator are equal to corresponding angular extents of teeth and nonmagnetic inserts of rotor. Angular extents of nonmagnetic insert, ferromagnetic tooth and pole of section of stator as well as number of magnetic teeth of section of stator and number of tooth divisions of rotor are tied up with relations given in description of invention. EFFECT: enhanced operational precision of electric motor. 1 dwg
