FIELD: pulse processing of materials; particularly metal and tin working, roofing, cabinet work, stamping, braiding and other operations. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic impact tool has immovable stator with excitation winding, cylindrical armature with disk portion and guide body mating the body and carrying armature retaining member. The guide body of the tool is made of ferromagnetic material and the armature retaining member is engageable with disk portion of the armature. This feature makes it possible to increase traction effort applied to the armature at the end of working stroke. EFFECT: increased specific energy of impact. 3 cl, 2 dwg
