VALVE GRINDER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; abrasive machining. SUBSTANCE: valve grinder has frame with valve clamping unit and to-and-fro rotational and axial motion mechanisms. Valve clamping unit has mechanism to adjust height depending on design of valve head and height of cylinder head. Adjusting mechanisms are made in form of rod and nut resting on end face of bushing with threaded end on which nut is fitted. Nut engages with end face of strip mounted on hinged frame. The latter is coupled with rods furnished with nuts and hinge- connected with grinder frame. EFFECT: enhanced quality of grinding. 2 dwg
