FIELD: tannery. SUBSTANCE: method provides for following procedure: rotating member is moved under lower surface of hide. Being engaged with it hide beginning from edge and up to middle part of its surface takes hanging state, from which due to engagement with rotating member hide takes form of feeding apparatus. During hide separation from pile, rotating member movement up to middle of hide is exercised in direction of pile laying with meeting rotation of member. Further movement of member is exercised without rotation and with separating hide upward or at an angle of no more than 15 deg. out of the vertical. During hide separation from processing equipment or from moving surface, for example, of conveyer simultaneous movement of rotating member together with separating hide is directed upward or at an angle of no more than 15 deg. out of the vertical. During loading on processing equipment and in pile on moving surface, for example, of conveyer movement of rotating member with hanging on it hide is directed vertically from top to down or at an angle of no more than 15 deg. out of the vertical and in case of loading on immovable surface - it is exercised horizontally or at an angle of no more than 30 deg. out of the horizontal. In the case, linear speed of rotation of the member is equal to speed of the member movement and is equal to half speed of processing equipment.
