FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: centering stand includes platform 1, two legs 9,10 made fast to platform perpendicular to its plane, leg 11 hinged to platform, plate 13 with column 14 and hinge 15 coupled to second leg 11, cramp 18 and three identical units to change distance between leg and side surface of rail head located in contact zones of each leg 9, 10, 11. Unit 28 to change distance between leg and side surface of rail head is manufactured in the form of two inter joined mutually perpendicular plates. Distances from center of their crossing to each butt are not equal. Unit 28 is made separable. Axle of hinge 15 of plate 13 is positioned at equal distance from axle of hinge 12 of second leg 11 and from its contact zone. Column 14 is mounted for movement along plate 13 in direction perpendicular to axle of hinge 15. EFFECT: simplified design, improved authenticity of measurements. 7 dwg
