FIELD: geodesic instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: centering tripod has table 1 with centered bushing 2, rigid plumb bob 4 with a level, tree supporting extensible lags 9, displacement units that consists of two rollers 15 and 16, closed-loop rope 17 that wraps around each pair of the rollers, and braking unit. The ends of each rope are rigidly secured to the non-submergible portion of lags 11. The braking unit comprises solenoid 18, coil 19 mounted inside the solenoid, and armature 20 connected with T-shaped lever 21 provided with friction lining 22. One end of lever 21 is coupled with the housing of the lag. The opposite end of the lever is provided with supporting spring 25 and stroke arrester 24.
