FIELD: analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of inert salt to analyzed liquid up to ionic strength value 2-3.5 mole/l, contacting of analyzed liquid with oxidative-reductive mixture for 10 min. Mixture contains potassium ferricyanide and ferrocyanide salts in 1M alkali solution, at volume ratio of analyzed liquid and oxidative-reductive mixture 20:2-3, at concentrate ratio of oxidized and reduced forms in the mixture 80-120: 1, and at concentration of oxidized form 0.02-0.05 mole/l following by quantitative recording of oxidative-reductive mixture potential change and calculation of oxidazability value. Method ensures to determine oxidazability of washing water with value of oxidizable components 50-600 mg O2/l with error 3.2%, not more. EFFECT: improved method of determination. 3 tbl
