FIELD: warning systems. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at avoidance of collisions of vehicles. Method of selection of signals from objects closing in on vehicle lies in that direction finder forms bearing of dangerous closing in. Signals from objects outside of zone are suppressed. Sign of derivative of envelope of bearing signal is used for elimination of ambiguity of bearing characteristic within limits of main beam of direction finder and only signals from dangerous objects are left. Device for realization of method has monopulse direction finder 1, former 2 of boundary values of bearing signal for each range, unit 3 of comparison and suppression, unit 4 of calculation of derivative and derivative sign of envelope of bearing signal and selector 5 of bearing signals.
