FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: parametric amplifier incorporating coaxially joined signal and subharmonic pumping channels in the form of rectangular waveguide sections, idle frequency circuit, and diode, has its rectangular waveguide sections connected orthogonally with plain-parallel structure built up of first, second, and third metal plates isolated from each other by means of first, second, and third insulating strips inserted between waveguide sections. First idle frequency circuit is set up of differentially connected diode and additionally introduced diode both mounted along diagonal of combined cross cuts made in plain-parallel structure. In addition, pumping circuit and second idle frequency circuit may be inserted in the form of rectangular holes made in first and second newly introduced inserts, each of them being placed between butt end of one of rectangular waveguide sections and plain-parallel structure. Insert thickness and size of rectangular holes are found from equations given in description of invention. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 1 dwg
