FIELD: millimeter and submillimeter range engineering. SUBSTANCE: multifocal open cavity has first mirror whose generating line is set up cofocal ellipses and second mirror with rectilinear generating line passed through focuses of first mirror. Additional mirror components are mounted on ends of mirrors, their center being aligned with first mirror focus closest to it. Surfaces of mirrors and of at least one additional mirror component are made bodies of revolution of respective generating lines about axis oriented relative to generating line of second mirror at angle θ, satisfying condition 0°≅ θ≅ 90°. Additional mirror components are mounted for displacement along generating line of second mirror and in perpendicular direction. At least one of additional mirror components or its parts is made of radio transparent material and its outer surface generating line is circle arc; external surface is coated with deposited metal layer.
