VOLTAGE-TO-TIME SPACE CONVERTER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2032269 C1

FIELD: pulse technique. SUBSTANCE: converter incorporates storage element having switches, operational amplifier whose inverting input is connected to first lead of storage element coupled through resistor to reference-voltage source, noninverting input is connected to common bus, and output is coupled through switch with second lead of storage element, and charge circuit of the latter is connected to common bus, control unit and input, to convertable signal bus, and output, to converted signal bus; storage element charge circuit is assembly of two switches built around thyristors one of which is connected through its cathode to common bus and through anode, to first lead of storage element; other switch is connected through its anode to plus output of regulated voltage source and through cvathode, to other lead of storage element, and its cathode-control bus is connected to firing circuit lead of control unit in the form of power amplifier whose input is connected to trigger circuit output of control unit in which noninverting comparator input is connected to convertable signal bus and inverting input, to operational amplifier output of storage element discharge circuit and to first input of trigger circuit coupled through second input and resistor with control unit trigger generator and through other resistor, with minus output of regulated voltage source; comparator output is connected to third input of trigger circuit and to clock input of complementing flip-flop whose output functions as output of converter with converted signal bus. Trigger circuit is assembly of three isolated circuits each set up of resistors, diode switch, and capacitor, their common interconnection point being circuit output; their first input is resistor lead, second input is diode switch anode, third input is capacitor lead. EFFECT: provision for conversion of instant values of input voltage at high speed. 2 cl, 3 dwg
