FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has the form of a superposable external gage fitting around part of the circle perimeter of the measured diameter and has supports contacting with the thread surface. Said supports have the form of three cylindrical points arranged square to gage plan e. Two of said points are measuring and have flat ends while the third one has a hemispherical end. Thew device is registered on thread turn. The distance between points is selected by the use of appropriate mathematical formulas. EFFECT: improved design. 3 dwg
