FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: desired product di-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)ditelluride, 4-(CH3)2NC6H4FeFeC6H4N(CH3)2-4 having essential formula C16H20N2Fe2 is prepared by yield 60 %, its decomposition temperature being 100- 102 C. Desired product di-iodomethylate of di-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)ditelluride having essential formula C18H26I2N2Fe2 is prepared by yield 80 %, its decomposition temperature being 100-102 C. According to one scheme of synthesis 4-bromo-N,N-dimethylaniline is used as reagent 1, magnesium and tellurium being used as reagent 2. Their interaction is carried out in tetrahydrofuran on water bath. According to other scheme of synthesis (4-dimethylaminophenyl)ditelluride is used as reagent 1, methyl iodide is used as reagent 2. Their interaction is carried out in acetonitrile at room temperature within 0.5 h and on water bath within 0.5 h. EFFECT: improves quality of desired product. 1 tbl
