FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: holes for fastening of supporting members of artificial crystalline lens located on lens end face are oval in its perpendicular cross-section whose large axis is parallel to lens main plane. EFFECT: reduced thickness of lens cylindrical part resulted in decreased mass of artificial crystalline lens with preserved rigidity of supporting members that diminishes postoperative complications such as flaccid uveitis and secondary hypertension. 3 cl, 2 dwg
