FIELD: production of gas absorbers. SUBSTANCE: method for production of nondusting gas absorbers based on intermetallic powders includes mixing of metallic powders sizing 1-45 mcm. Heating is effected in vacuum of 13.3-33 Pa by local heat pulses with flux density of 2-15 W/mm2. Heat pulse forms wave of high-temperature synthesis with reaction rate of 0.1-30 cm/s. Low exothermic mixtures are preliminarily heated up to 50-900 C. Prior to heating, mixture may be molded with subsequent thermovacuum treatment by employing stage method: 2 h at 200 C, and 3 h at 300 C in vacuum of 10-2 Pa Pa.
