METHOD FOR LAYING PIPELINE INTO CURVED HOLE AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: construction of trunk pipelines under obstacles, mainly, under water ones. SUBSTANCE: method for laying pipeline into curved hole includes assembly of separate pipes into sections; installation of sections on sliding track; moving pipe sections over sliding track towards hole 3 in plane running through longitudinal axes of hole 3 and fed section 9; connection of fed section 9 with end of pipeline in hole 3 and pulling pipeline in hole through length of connected section. Pit is dug in entrance of hole 3. Used as link of sliding track nearest to hole 3 is turning link 7 in form of rocker with different arms for its turning round axle 11 square to longitudinal axis of sliding track and rocker 15 installed on bench of pit 10. Each pipe section is fed to turning link 7 of sliding track successively and turned together with turning link 7 through angle α before its connection to pipeline. a angle equals angle of inclination of hole entrance. Turning link 7 of sliding track after pulling of connected section in hole 3 is returned to initial position. In this case, small arm 12 of rocker is located on the side of entrance of hole 3, and length of each pipe section is taken smaller than double length of said rock arm. Device for method realization consists of separate links containing linear frame installed on base with rollers located on it. One of links is hinged to base and made in form of rocker with different arms for turning in vertical plane. Base of turning link 7 on the side of small arm 12 is bevelled to limit angle of turning of frame of this link. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 8 dwg
