FIELD: materials transportation; belt conveyors. SUBSTANCE: belt conveyor has drive, tension station, return and drive drums, carrying belt wrapped around drums and laid on roller supports, pressure mechanism installed above carrying run of belt and made in form of endless traction member wrapped around drive and return drums and resilient pressure members. Conveyor has charging hopper arranged above carrying run of belt before pressure mechanism. Conveyor has special arrangement which turns carrying run of belt into rectangular chute arranged before the hopper and roller supports arranged between hopper and pressure mechanism drum which turn the belt into pipe. Forming arrangement is made in form of drum with rollers fitted on its end faces with clearance. Axis of rollers is square to axis of drum. Resilient pressure members are installed on endless traction member for engagement with carrying belt. Spring, hydraulic or pneumatic pressure members can be used.
