N, N′-Bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-alkylimidazolinium dichloride or a mixture of imidazolines with admixture of aminoamides with C₇-C₉- or C₁₀-C₁₆- or C₁₇-C₂₀-alkyl, or more then C₂₀-alkyl, or a mixture of hydroxyethylalkylimidazolines on the basis of vat residue in production of synthetic fatty acids of C₂₀-fraction or above were used preferably as imidazolines.
