METHOD OF PREPARING NATURAL SEXUAL PHEROMONE FROM BOAR Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing of preparation of natural sexual pheromones from tissues and excreta of adult boar. Source of biological material is testicles, submaxillary glands and urine of matured boars which are homogenized at the ratio 1:(1-2):(2-2.3). Then potassium iodide (2-2.5% of total mixture mass) is added to the prepared mixture and incubated for 6-7 h at 4-5 C. Then mixture is mixed with 15-20% trichloroacetic acid at the ratio 10:1-1.5 following by centrifugation up to separation for two fractions. Then supernatant liquid is distilled with steam.
