FIELD: sewage treatment. SUBSTANCE: anionic or cationic polyelectrolyte and low-molecular surface-active substance containing ionogenic group charge of which is contrast to polyelectrolyte charge were added to the sewage at any sequence. In the case of anionic polyelectrolytes compound of the general formula R1R2R3R4N+X- or R5N+C5H5X- where R1= H, CH3, C2H5, R2= H, CH3, C2H5, C8H5, C8H17, R3=H, CH3, C2H5, C8H17, CH2C6H5, R4 - alkyl-C8-C18, HOCH2(CH2)5, C2H5OOC(CH2)15, R5 - alkyl-C10-C16, alkyl-C19-C18-OOCCH2,X-Cl,Br is used as a surface-active substance. In the case of cationic polyelectrolytes - compound of the general formula: R6Y where R6 - alkyl-C8-C16, C12H25C6H4, Y - Y= OSO3M, SO3M, M=X,Na. Anionic polyelectrolytes have carboxylic and/or sulfate, and/or sulfonate, and/or phosphate, and/or silanol group, and cationic ones - quaternary ammonium or pyridinium or guanidinium group. EFFECT: improved method of sewage treatment. 1 tbl
