FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: crystallizer is a horizontal rectangular housing with branch pipes for feeding the source solution and taking out suspension produced. The crystallizer has a heat exchange surface in the form of straight heat exchange pipes located in the lower part of the housing in raws. The space between pipes is divided by vertical partitions provided with adjustable ducts. There is a mixer in the form of a set of rakes fastened on horizontal arms and located between the above partitions for reciprocal movement along the raws of pipes. The ratio between the width of teeth of rakes and that of spaces between them is 1.0-1.5. The movement amplitude of rakes is 60-80 percent of the length of section.
