FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: vertical floating column consists of floating cylindrical sections 1 interconnected by means of coupler made in form of tension springs, flexible coupler for holding the sections in transportation stowage with remotely operated lock. Each section is provided with bell mouth 8 at its lower end and taper section 11 at its upper end. Column is connected with ballast 6 by means of flexible coupling.
