FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: flexible coupling has two coupling halves constructed as two concentrically mounted sleeves 1 and 2 with longitudinal ports 3 made in their walls and flexible links 4 made up as pieces of a rope. The ends of links 4 pass through ports 3 and are secured on outer sleeve 2. The middle parts of links 4 enclose spring ring 5 positioned freely. When a torque is applied to inner sleeve 1, the sides walls of longitudinal ports 3 affect links 4 which, in turn, set outer sleeve 2 in rotation. Simultaneously, the middle parts of links 4 involve spring ring 5 in rotation, the ring being deformed depending on branch tensions. The radial displacements of the shaft in the coupling are compensated owing to deforming of spring ring 5 and possibility for middle parts of the flexible link branches to move over the spring ring.
