FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: plumb weight has string, cylindrical top bushing, bottom bushing, bottom insert wherein the bottom end of the string is coaxially and rigidly secured, top calibrated insert made up as a hollow cylinder, tension screw provided with the axial opening, ball bearing with race, float, reservoir with damping fluid, and mechanical recorder coaxially positioned on the top end of the top insert. The recorder is linear and mounted for permitting rotation about the string. The bottom bushing and insert are mounted for a given mutual angular rotation with 90 deg step and for a given measured displacement in two mutually perpendicular directions in the horizontal plane.
