FIELD: leather haberdashery. SUBSTANCE: belt in the form of a flexible strip comprises initial and end portions of leather with an inseparable joint therebetween. Initial portion has a fastened buckle with a hinged retainer. End portion has holes for the retainer. Inseparable joint of the belt portions comprises hold-down straps installed on both sides of the belt. Thickness of hold-down straps is smaller than that of strip. Portion of strip with holes for the retainer is made from genuine leather while the rest of the belt is of a weaker and less scarce material, e.g. simulated leather.
