FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator has a feeder, a magnetic system in the form of part of a ring and a set of plate-like magnets disposed immovably, with the magnetic system being enclosed in the drum. The separator also has a drum drive, collectors of ferromagnetic and non-magnetic particles mounted under the drive and pole tips placed between the plate-like magnets and lying outside the plate-like magnets towards the drum. The drum has V-shaped ribs sloped towards the drum rotation. Their vertexes are mounted along middle line of the drum surface in the direction opposite to the drum rotation. A spring-loaded comb is mounted between the feeder and the drum. The collectors of ferromagnetic particles are placed outside and inside the drum facing each other. A magnetic circuit roller reiterating the contour of the outer sectional surface of the drum and a magnet are placed correspondingly. The collector of ferromagnetic particles has magnet members under it. The drum surface can be made flexible. There are grooves on the surface of the pole tips. A magnetic roller is mounted under the feeder with the abutment to the drum. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture. 3 cl, 6 dwg
