FIELD: rolling equipment. SUBSTANCE: an initial position of a carriage with a movable cutter is its limit position, the movable cutter being in its upper position at such position of the carriage. Measured shearing is being performed over one revolution of a cam in automatic mode. A predetermined length of a material to be sheared had been passed, a drive mechanism is being energized for rotating the cam and the telescopic shaft 13. The cam rotates by a predetermined angle for equalizing motion speed of the carriage 3 and the material to be sheared, and then the clutch 14 is being energized. The eccentric 6 performs one revolution, descending and raising the movable cutter for providing a shearing action. The clutch disengages the telescopic shaft. A complete revolution of the cam had been over the carriage returns in its initial position. Control process is being performed in automatic mode with use of limit switches.
