TOGGLE SWITCH Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: toggle switch has insulating case, side and central contacts fixed on its base. Operating mechanism has lever, cap with lever hinged in its central slot, and pusher with compression spring placed between cap and pusher. Central contacts carry break-make contacts and contact holders mount shrouds. Central part of each shroud has projection and pusher has side projections with slots at bottom; projection of each shroud is located in respective slot of pusher for rotation; compression spring is installed in central part of pusher under cap slot which eliminates dead zone and dependence of system change-over speed from switch lever displacement speed. Each shroud may be built of stiff structural metal and shroud projection is rounded off. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 2 dwg
