FIELD: chemico-pharmaceutical and microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: this method and apparatus functioning on basis of this method allow sterilizing ampullated liquid injection preparations with reliability of at least 106 at degree of disintegration of thermolabial medicinal substance of 1 to 2 % maximum. Object of this invention is accomplished by heating medicinal preparation by exposing it to superhigh-frequency electromagnetic field when conveying ampules through microwave tract in region of minimum heterogeneity of electric field to temperature at which rate of thermal inactivation of spore microorganisms is by order of 8 to 10 higher than rate of disintegration of medicinal preparation, isothermally treating this preparation with transferring ampules from heating zone to cooling one and then cooling preparation by transmitting intensive nonstationary movement to ampules in flow of liquid heat carrier. Claimed apparatus incorporates superhigh-frequency oscillator, sterilization chamber, conveyor, charging mechanism, cooler, discharge mechanism, infrared pyrometer, and microcontroller. Sterilization chamber includes microwave tract and isothermic passage. Microwave tract is section of rectangular waveguide that terminates in matched load and has openings in broader and thin walls, with radiotransparent tube having cutout in side surface and fitted into broader walls coaxially relative to openings. EFFECT: higher degree of sterilization. 5 cl, 2 dwg
