FIELD: purification of sodium chloride. SUBSTANCE: sodium chloride solution is treated with soda-alkaline solution and precipitant is separated and dissolved with hydrochloric acid. Soda-alkaline solution is produced by carbonization of electrolytic alkali with carbon dioxide liberated during dissolving of precipitant with hydrochloric acid, with addition of soda ash to obtain sodium carbonate-to-calcium ions molar ratio of (1.01-1.05):1 and sodium hydroxide-to-magnesium ions molar ratio of (2.02-2.10):1. Sulfate ions are separated at evaporation step of electrolytic alkali of the given production process in form of sulfate brine used for regeneration of cation exchangers. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
