FIELD: cosmetic production. SUBSTANCE: extract of Salvia sclarea L. is dissolved in ethyl alcohol, waxes being removed by filtration. Then solvent is distilled of filtrate to produce absolute oil, said oil is dissolved in acetone to prepare mother solution of sclareol. Mentioned above mother solution is used for production of aromatic principle, additionally said solution is distilled to prepare head, sclareol and diterpenoide fractions. Sclareol fraction is dissolved in hydrocarbon solvent, additional amount of sclareol being isolated by its crystallization. Aromatic principle is produced by oxidation of diterpenoide fraction with air, said oxidation is carried out in definite temperature ranges in the presence of stearates, laurates or naphthenes of transition metals and using sodium bisulfate. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
