FIELD: manufacture of solar engines for repeated periodic follow-up of luminous bodies cyclically moving in space. SUBSTANCE: solar engine has rod whose one end is connected with support 16 and heat absorbing working member 2 moving to either side along its axis which is secured on rod; engine is also provided with optical system made in form of collecting lens 4 focusing solar radiation on working member 2. Mounted in optical system in front of lens are two mirrors 5 which are parallel to each other with clearance in between them; working surfaces of mirrors are oriented outside the clearance; mirrors are mechanically linked with rod by back coupling lever 6. Rod is provided with locking mechanism made in form of locking member 11 fitted on the rod and rocker arm 8 whose one end is engageable with it; other end of rocker arm is secured by means of spring 9 and return mechanism made in form of return spring 10 connecting the rod with support 16 and reset lever 7 engageable with rocker arm 8. Working member is made in form of row of ferromagnetic elements arranged discretely and unidirectional permanent magnet 3 engageable with these elements. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
