FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: characteristic feature of process lies in cutting of blank of sleeve from strip of insulation material prior to start of formation process. Then longitudinal closing edges of sleeve are formed in sequence and pressed to surface of blank, longitudinal bends are formed in midpart of sleeve with creation of sleeve bottom. Later longitudinal bends are heated and their final formation is carried out on mandrel with subsequent cooling. EFFECT: enhanced manufacturing productivity, improved quality of sleeves by provision of precise matching of their profiles to profile of insulated coil and of slot of magnetic core where they should be placed. 5 dwg
