FIELD: storage of jewels. SUBSTANCE: container is intended for storage of one or, preferably, several jewels. The container shell is comprised of a casing and a protective plate rigidly interconnected in such a manner that the precious stone cannot be taken out of the container without destroying the latter. The protective plate has visible protective members, contains stone designating information and an electronic microcircuit which render falsification of the protective plate practically impossible. The casing is transparent or permeable to daylight. Thus, the container can be utilized as a reusable financial item. EFFECT: improved design. 16 cl, 15 dwg
