FIELD: packing equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine comprises an inclined plate which carries a magazine for holding a pile of blanks, a device for piece-by-piece separation of blanks, a blank position- fixing device, a vertically-moving receiving table, and folders. It additionally has two pairs of contrary-arranged longitudinal bars mounted on the inclined plate, and a pair of cross bars capable of moving onto receiving table parallel to the inclined plate. Folders have the form of shackles installed over the perimeter of the receiving table with a provision for moving along the U-shaped trajectory which moves round the corresponding bars. The automatic machine is also provided with a device for making an insert with partitions from a flat cardboard blank, and a device for placing said insert into the carton, said device being installed above the receiving table, level with the insert-forming device. The latter comprises a set of bars mounted on the inclined plate with a possibility for horizontal movement relative to one another. The ends of the bars have pins and hooks interacting with said pins and limiting the maximum distance between the bars. Each bar carries a spring-loaded hold-down and is installed under a strip for simultaneous action on the hold-downs and on the ejector made in the form of a rack capable of moving horizontally to along the rack teeth to act on the end surfaces of partitions. The device for placing the insert into a carton comprises parallel plates whose number is equal to that of the insert partitions. Each plate has a spring for holding the insert.
