FIELD: electric connectors. SUBSTANCE: cable connector meant for operation in conducting medium has plug 1 and socket 2 in the form of coaxial line sections hermetically sealed at their joint with cables 3,4 by means of smooth coaxial adapters 5,6. Plugs 1 and sockets 2 have contact members 7,8 and 9,10 mounted on insulating bushes 11,12, respectively. External contact members 7,9 embrace insulating bushes 11,12 of plug 1 and socket 2 on outside and function as continuations of external conductors of cables 3,4 being connected. Outer surface of external contact member 7 of plug 1 has stop 13 engageable with external contact member 9 of socket 2. Stop 13 is free to move along longitudinal axis of connector. End surface of insulating bush 11 of plug 1 has concentric annular boss 14 and end surface of insulating bush 12 of socket 2 is provided with respective annular groove 15. End surfaces of bushes 11,12 as well as concentric annular boss 14 and concentric annular groove 15 made in them form gap 16 filled with conducting medium 17. Gap 18 filled with conducting medium 17 is formed between central contact members 8,10. EFFECT: provision for operation in conducting media. 4 cl, 3 dwg
