FIELD: electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment, namely to underwater electric cables to a diver performing under water works connecting devices, for example, of the subsea sub-ice arrangement of oil and gas fields technical facilities system single-core cables connection. Connector consists of cable and modular parts. Connector cable part is inserted into the modular part and fixed in it by a push mechanism. Conductive medium remnants removal is performed by the mobile insulator displacement, before its displacement, flushing of the internal conductive and external insulating volumes cavities and their filling with an insulating liquid are performed.

EFFECT: invention provides creation of the connector enabling stable operation at a voltage of up to 6 kV, a current of up to 500 A and allowing connection and disconnection of parts under water.
