APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUS QUALITY CONTROL OF COAL ON BELT OF CONVEYER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mining, metallurgy and power industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for continuous quality control of coal on belt of conveyer has mounted perpendicularly to conveyer belt motion direction detector with electronic unit and source of γ radiation, both located under belt of conveyer. Apparatus also has second detector, mounted in parallel to conveyer belt motion direction, with second source of g radiation, two frequency dividers, two collimators. Sources of g radiation are fixed in collimators, that are directed to the first and second detectors correspondingly at sharp angles a₁ and α₂ to surface of belt in direction of its axis. Both detectors through frequency dividers are connected with input of electronic unit. In the case, distances from sources to detectors B₁ and B₂ and angles of inclination of collimators α₁ and α₂ are taken from ratio (B₁/α₁)/(B₂/α₂).
