FIELD: mining, metallurgy and power industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for continuous quality control of coal on belt of conveyer has mounted perpendicularly to conveyer belt motion direction detector with electronic unit and source of γ radiation, both located under belt of conveyer. Apparatus also has second detector, mounted in parallel to conveyer belt motion direction, with second source of g radiation, two frequency dividers, two collimators. Sources of g radiation are fixed in collimators, that are directed to the first and second detectors correspondingly at sharp angles a1 and α2 to surface of belt in direction of its axis. Both detectors through frequency dividers are connected with input of electronic unit. In the case, distances from sources to detectors B1 and B2 and angles of inclination of collimators α1 and α2 are taken from ratio (B1/α1)/(B2/α2).
