FIELD: coal burning. SUBSTANCE: furnace has combustion chamber 1, fire grate 2, perforated water-cooled wall 3 separating combustion chamber 1 from fuel hopper 5. Plunger feeder 6 is enclosed in box 13 connected to blower 16. To adjust the free cross-sectional area of perforated wall 3 in height, detachable flaps 12 are installed; and to adjust the amount of supplied blast air in width of hopper 5, the lower end of front wall 7 is provided with a horizontal buffer forming a triangular hole in plan together with the front end of plunger 9.
