FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: float 4 is made up as a solid cylinder density of which is 1.5-2 times grater than the density of the fluid to be tested. The float is set in guide rods 6 and interacts with resilient member 8. When the inner space is filled with a well fluid the float will occupy a definite axial position. Rod 9 with ferromagnet member 10 occupies respective position in inductive coil 12. In so doing, a signal proportional to the density of the fluid to be tested is generated and recorded.
