FIELD: measuring equipment engineering, possible use in systems for controlling and monitoring technological processes during operation with liquid substances.
SUBSTANCE: method includes measuring time t1 and t2 of passing of fixed distance Δh in liquid substance by a full immersion float, upwardly and downwardly, respectively, where (t2-t1)/(t1+t2) is density characteristic of liquid substance. Device consists of body 1 with measuring hollow 2 and full immersion float 3 therein. Float is equipped with permanent magnet 4, which is positioned in portion of device body by means of joint with horizontal axis 10, while full immersion float and magnet are connected by lever 9 with possibility of swaying on axis 10 in vertical plane.
EFFECT: increased consumer properties and increased measurements precision for density of liquid under research.
