MULTI-PURPOSE SELF-PROPELLED CHASSIS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: multi-purpose self-propelled chassis has frame 1 with steerable wheel axle 2 butt-joined to power module with engine unit and running wheels. Steerable wheel axle 2 is mounted by means of equalizers 5 and intermediate spatial frame 6 on turnable vertical axle 7. Frame 6 connected to axle 7 from below has longitudinal carrying beam 8 with crossmember 9 in front part, supporting members 10 and 11 arranged under beam 8 and tie 12. Mounting system has control link 13, lower links 14 and lifting mechanism. Link lifting mechanism has lifting drop links 15, turnable shaft 16 with levers and power mechanism hydraulic cylinder 17. Links 14 are arranged under equalizer 5 and are hinge-connected on axle-shafts 18 mounted on members 10 and located in front of axle 7. Link 13 is hinge-mounted on member 11. Equalizer 5 is mounted under longitudinal carrying beam 8 on axle 19. For mounting, steerable wheel axle 2 is turned through 180 degrees by means of special hydraulic drive, and chassis is moved by its frontal part to machine. Machine is connected to chassis mounting system and hydraulic cylinder 17 is switched on. Hydraulic cylinder rod, extending, turns shaft 16 and links 14 coupled with shaft through drop links 15 and links 14 provide lifting of machine above ground level. Then steerable wheel axle 2 is turned in opposite direction together with mounted on machine. Stability of unit in process of mounting is provided owing to arrangement of axle 7 and wheel axle at minimum distance from machine, low position of links 14 and bringing forward link attachment joints.
