FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: furan binder is received by means of polycondensation of furfuryl alcohol. Acid catalyzer is available in this process. Acidified water-alcohol solution is used as catalyzer. 0,1-1,2 mas. h. of catalyzer is fed into 100 mas.h. of furfuryl alcohol. Polycondensation is carried out at 55-80 C under appropriate conditions. Then furfuryl alcohol is neutralized with hydroxide of alkaline metal in a water-alcohol solvent, vacuum dried and modified with organosilicon compounds. In this case sodium or potassium hydroxide technical products are used as hydroxide of alkaline metal. Ethanol, isopropyl alcohol or N-propanol, or N-butanol or secondary or tertiary butanol are used as monatomic alcohol in C2-C4 row. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
