FIELD: ore mining industry. SUBSTANCE: working member has carrier 1 secured by means of hinge 2 to body 3, and hydraulic cylinder 4 which turns the carrier. Attached to carrier 1 by means of hinge 5 is frame 6 with two or more rows of rock-cutting tools 7 and stops 8 and 9. Carrier 1 has stops 10 and 11, hydraulic cylinder 12 turning the frame and hinged to frame 6. Continuous miner operates as follows. Carrier 1 under the action of hydraulic cylinders 4 turns round hinge 2. In this case, one row of rock-cutting tools 7 moving over arc breaks face surface. At the end of working stroke, the carrier stops moving, hydraulic cylinder is employed to turn frame 6 round hinge 5 from position 1 to position 11. In this event, stop 8 of frame 6 comes in contact with stop 11 of carrier 1. Hydraulic cylinder 12 is disengaged, and hydraulic cylinders 4 are engaged to turn carrier 1 round hinge 2 to opposite direction. In this case, the other row of cutters 7 breaks the face surface. At the opposite end of stroke, frame 6 under the action of hydraulic cylinder 12 turns from position 11 to position 1, and cycle is repeated. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
