FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: before upsetting heated billet is kept under open air for 15 30 s. Before shaping and rolling metal temperature of separate members of billet is levelled by its keeping before deformation, and before final stage temperature of disk is raised by gauging due to heat of rim and boss. So, on all stages of hot deformation different members of billet are provided with low-temperature gradient and due to that local reduction of disk in its transitional zones to rim and boss is decreased, so providing increased up to 25 t/s loading on axis of van. EFFECT: one-piece-solid-rolled railroad wheel production method is used in production of railroad wheels for increased load-carrying capacity railroad cars.
