FIELD: railway transport; rolling stock.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solid-rolled wheel has tread 1, disk 4 and hub 6. Disk is made curvilinear in axial section with bend 5 in central part. Center line of axial section of disk in place of its mating with hub is displaced axially relative to center line of disk axial section in place of its mating with tread towards inner surface of wheel. Bend in central part of disk is pointed to side of wheel outlet surface. Method of wheel manufacturing comes to centering of wheel before bending from side of outer surface of wheel over inner surface of tread in process of vertical displacement of lower knock-out of press with wheel to upper bending die.
EFFECT: improved operation strength and reliability of wheel, reduced unbalance of disk and tread at last stage of wheel forming.
