FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: optical scanning unit has objective, spherical mirror which is disposed at focal plane of the objective, in-line sweep mechanism made in form of mirror polyhedral and mounted for rotation, two parabolic mirrors. Focal point of the first mirror coincides with focal plane of the objective. Radiation receiver is located at focal point of the other parabolic mirror. Unit also has frame sweeping mechanism. The second parabolic mirror is mounted for rotation about axis being perpendicular to axis of rotation of mirror polyhedral and is connected kinematically with frame sweeping mechanism. Parabolic mirror acts as unit for focusing radiation and rolling image out. EFFECT: simplified design of the unit; reduced number of optical articles. 1 dwg
