FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: beehive bottom has a shoulder around the perimeter of the upper recess, said shoulder being encompassed by the cover collar. The beehive body is made of a ceramic material with a heat conduction coefficient corresponding to that of wood and not exceeding 0.4 W/micron. Interior space of body has an ellipsoid shape. The bee entrance is set at an angle to the vertical axis of the body and its outer hole is oriented downward. Conditions in the beehive approach those in the tree trunk hollow which exerts a positive effect on vital activity of a bee colony. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
